In my defense, black pepper is called "mustapippuri" and allspice/pimento "maustepippuri" in Finnish and both also look similar. You'd think the taste or smell would've clued me in a bit earlier but I only noticed when I took a closer look at the bag in my spice cabinet

Has your food been more or less delicious than usual lately?

If you haven't noticed then you gotta use more pepper. As I have slowly but continually learned how to be a better cook throughout my life I have found the thing most people and recipes do is way under season things.

For a moment I confused allspice with Old Spice and wondered why the fuck you were putting deodorant in your food

Allspice, also known as Jamaican Pepper

Sounds like you've been using it right to me.
