My biggest problem in life is managing to screw up simple tasks in ways that nobody could have warned me about, because it didn't cross anyone else's mind that I would find some way of screwing up that was previously unknown to science. And then I can't even explain the nature of the problem to anyone to ask what went wrong, because as far as I was aware I was doing everything right, and then it just goes tits-up. Today I managed to burn an oven mitt on a pot handle that could not have - in any fathomable way - been hot.
My therapist suggested finding a hobby that's low-stakes and simple enough that one cannot possibly mess up doing it, something that can't be done wrong. I am yet to find one. I can't get myself interested in reading books anymore, and watching movies or TV doesn't count as a hobby, since staring at a screen is not an activity. What are some hobbies that you can do with your hands, that cannot possibly be done wrong, in any fathomable way?
