born before there was a measles vaccine, I remember my parents sequestering me while I was infected with the virus in a darkened room for a few days with no television—had to listen to radio versions of Gunsmoke & The Lone Ranger (I seem to recall…) because measles can damage ones vision (+hearing, immune system & in some rare cases can be fatal). Plus I had a bunch of sibs they did not want to get similarly infected. I don’t remember much else of my measly stint but maybe other pre-vax survivors out there might want to share their recollections of being infected here?
