Are we checking? This is a place to take a p*ss out of motorsports.

F1 is not the only motorsport in the world, so go ahead and post your shitposts about WEC or MotoGP or IndyCar or ralley or Polish Speedway or whatever. Even Formula E, I guess. It needs some love, too.

By the way, F2 > F1.

Rules? What rules? Stop inventing. Just don't be a douche. Lemmy.world's sporting conduct applies.

He deserves the seat

People shit on the other three, but it seems like Lawson is the only one to have the full upgrade? AT did a massive number of upgrades that came online for the race Danny injured himself.

So until we see DR in the car also we can't rule out his potential to a great Lawson.

Ricciardo ignored the yellow flag, didn't slow down, and did not take the hands off the steering wheel. As much as I like him as a personality, his current situation is self-inflicted. OTOH Lawson did not crash in Zandvoort's heavy rain, unlike some more experienced drivers. Tsunoda's penalty which caused Lawson to finish ahead in Zandvoort was also Tsunoda's own fault. Driving a clean race is a merit on its own and that has nothing to do with upgrades.

Liam's done a lot to gain confidence in such a short time, with Alpha Tauri not having their drivers locked in yet it could come down to the final races and how Daniel performs when he returns to decide the seating arrangements.

Personally, I want to see Lawson get a seat for next year. Whether it's Yuki or Daniel to me is more of a question of how Daniel performs. While Yuki has not been flush with points this year, there is something to be said for the fact that he's currently the longest serving driver on the team.

Idk, I'd like to see a Danny/Liam team to see how they perform but it's not likely unless something happens to Yuki
