This has been said in some form for all these technologies: the printing press, recorded sound, radio, films, TV, computers, the internet and mobile phones.

Universities are older than the printing press by several hundred years...

AI will alter learning, but it will not replace the current system.

AI is more a tool to get things done in a much faster way than before. Such as brainstorming and writing out ideas. It is still up to the user to come up with a good enough prompt for the AI to be useful. Prompt engineering could be just another new way to teach the youth how to be accurate and concise when expressing their thoughts, which in itself is just as valuable.

I think it’ll just become another tool in the toolbox.

A calculator hasn’t made math class irrelevant just yet.

It’s the difference between applied knowledge vs. domain knowledge.

They actually need to do away with busy work homework for awhile. they need to havve the knowledge dissemination at home and active use be at school. read and watching lectures can be done at home the classroom should be discussion and projects.
