Why is the title different?
We like to have fun here.
What is this place? A safe space for underrepresented peoples and peoples of color to talk, chill, and vibe.
What are the basic rules of the community?

That's a name I haven't heard in a long time. I think I watched a couple of her videos back when I watched a lot of the Breadtube creators (Contrapoints, Lindsay Ellis, T1J, hbomberguy, Shaun, etc).
Most of that old guard either got less political and less interesting to me as I continued my political journey left, or just made a lot less videos as time went on. Which I get, sometimes you can only talk about a topic for so long before saying everything you wanted to say. I still watch the occasional one a few of them release every blue moon, but that's every 1-3 years for a Shaun or hbomberguy, maybe slightly more often for someone like Thought Slime, but still rare.
Wonder how Kat's videos have been all this time. Surprised the algorithm hasn't sent her my way.
Kinda Unrelated rant
She's probably way better than Vaush, but man I'd love to find a good, unapologetically commie black content creator, just applying Marxism and materialism to black liberation and revolutionary thought, not attached to the Democratic Party, solidarity with AES states, etc. Closest I have is FD Signifier, who's great, but would would love to have someone else I could develop a parasocial relationship so as not to feel like such a minority in my area lol. His latest video about where YouTube is throwing his suggestions made it even more obvious that other than Lil Bill (who's also great but doesn't like USSR or Mao, which makes me cock an eyebrow) there's no one else really in this radical black space, it has to throw him to either white leftist creators or black liberals in the suggested list after his videos. But then, it's a niche of a niche, so I get it. Just don't like it.
I can imagine it being difficult with the social environment in the US being what it is. There was an African Communist from Kenya I remember being active at one point but can’t remember their name for the life of me.
Breadtube’s old guard seem content to cover pop culture and that’s fine. Never really saw most of them as hard leftists. Is Shaun still making videos? His videos on political topics were some of the most impactful to come out of breadtube.
Ya, exactly, it's fine. They were all good Dem Socs / progressive liberals that could move people left through pop culture analysis, and it was good enough to kickstart the pipeline left they had going for awhile there. They don't really need to be anything more political or theoretical than that and I don't really expect them to be.
I think Shaun still does one every 3 or more years years. Like the last one was a year or so ago about conservatives freaking out about woke video games, so the next one won't be for awhile lol.
I always find it interesting when hearing stories about white Americans suffering from dementia. They forget everything from the name of their kids to what they even look like. But they never forget to say the n word when a non-white person shows up.

So true. My grandma got Alzheimer's for many years and forgot her own children, couldn't remember anything, but would go around and tell everyone she saw how beautiful they were and how much she loved them.

I'm only the bass player and vocalist, but I don't have band members right now so I just use an easy programming of guitars and drums. I also still program the bass too because my tracks are written for 7-string bass, and I currently don't have a 7-string. I used to play 6 string basses regularly, but I lost that after leaving [man responsible for my birth]'s house and never coming back to retrieve it.
I write music two ways, depending on whichever I'm vibing with: MuseScore and Songsterr. Songsterr is good and easy for tabs, and it's a website rather than a program so you can handle it all in a browser, but MuseScore is better for sheet notation.
Songsterr comes with high-quality audio, and I typically just plug that into my DAW (Ableton) and mix it to sound a bit better; that's how I made this one.
How are you prepping for the tariffs comrades?
I've been more worried about my NEETbux if Trump goes after social security (I'm on permanent disability). I think I'll be fine on food. The other thing I get imported are medical supplies I use lots of for dealing with my issues (I won't go into details because it'll gross people out lmao). I'm hoping I can get most of it covered under public health insurance, but that's possibly on the chopping block too.
Been thinking about it and honestly... I can't really think of anything.

I decided to add a chilling interlude to the song, and honestly, I gotta go 100000000000000% with the breakdown I plan to add after this.
Hearing something eerie and unsettling like this only for it to lead into a weak section would be a disgrace! It starts around 1:48.
It sounds somewhat spacey, and I like that because I decided to name this song "Supernova Funeral," so it fits.
What I got so far is, of course, quite repetitive, but I thought that fit the song, as sometimes variety can ruin the vibe. With this just being Earth-crushing heaviness, I thought it would work well. I intend for the sections with the ambient clean guitar to serve as the verses and the portions without it to be a refrain/hook of some sort. Obviously, I'm doing unclean vocals over this, as this is the most death metal thing I've written so far.
Originally, I was doing the typical drop E guitars and B standard bass, but I decided to downtune it by a whole step, making the guitar tuning an 8-string drop D₁ (D₁–A₁–D₂–G₂–C₃–F₃–A₃–D₄) and the bass tuning a 7-string A standard (A₀–D₁–G₁–C₂–F₂–B♭₂–E♭₃). It gives me "What if Death was a modern djent band?" vibes.
I kept the bass a bit loud so you can hear them fills bleed through.
UPDATE: I'd argue that I was successful.
Update
Just finished the university fieldtrip.
Was able to wear the traditional clothes for Eid without much issue. The weather was quite nice that day. Got some insane golden hour pictures at the beach thanks to a coursemate.
Now I’ll have some time to chill with family before deadlines come up.

I’ve been noticing a growing trend in my area of brown women dating black men. Something you would have never seen twenty years ago without significant backlash. We’re in a more rural area where white worship is unfortunately more common so it’s nice to see the trend being bucked. Brown men disappointingly continue to shun dating black women

I have a university field trip coming up. I told the organizers that it would clash with Eid last year but they said that the schedule was tight.

Couple of white people at my job were promoted to principal roles with little to no experience. They got it for being at the company too long and basically having no other roles to take. This is relevant because whiteys are back to complaining that black people only get things handed to them and "didn't earn it". I remember hearing similar sentiments in high school from white kids who just sucked at school. Whiteys have an inferiority complex and when Vivek called them dumb it was hilarious.
Black people with no felonies are less likely to get job interviews than white people with felonies. Most alumni scholarships go to white kids. Students with the highest SAT scores and GPAs are mostly Jews, Mormons, Ethiopians, Somalians, and Asians, yet cisshit WASPs have higher acceptance rates, scholarships awarded, and higher salaries despite the metrics for measuring academic performance being the same or worse than EMPoCs.
The list goes on for examples of minorities doing 110% of the work, while Whitey gets by on only 45%.
They need to come to terms that their mediocre can go far just because they're white.
Me mentioning how I want to go to China for grad school or work for CS and my white CS professor being like "Why do you want to go to a repressive regime?"
I lightly explain that a majority of Chinese people hold the opinion that they support the government and that China's industrial sector is far more mature and exciting than anything the US can offer.
