On my way to work I often pass a guy riding one of these, I guess it's more for cardio than transportation because it looks exhausting.

I remember seeing these on the paths occasionally, maybe 10-15 years ago?
I always wondered how heavy they felt when you ride it. Also, the stop/dismount seems like it'd be rough.
Do these go uphill at all?
