A friend of mine offered for me to stay in one of her apartments while visiting on vacation, and never once mentioned any payment for this, so naturally I took her up on her offer. We saw each other several times while I was visiting and it was never mentioned either.
An hour after I landed back home, she texted me saying that I owe a big amount of money for the stay.
If payment was expected why not mention it before I bought my plane ticket? I never agreed to this, and I would not have gone on the trip if I would have known what it would have cost.
