Just wanted to share for people who moderate communities that Tesseract lets you see who voted on a post or comment. This means that as moderators you finally have the ability to take action against users who downvote every post in your community or who vote with multiple accounts, or similar situations.

This might not be a new thing but it's something no one is talking about and I just wanted to let you all know its a thing.

It works on this instance: https://t.lemmy.dbzer0.com/

Or at the main Tesseract Frontent: https://tesseract.dubvee.org/

Incredibly useful feature, i use it a lot to check if there are spam downvoters (i swear i'm not a ptb ๐Ÿ˜…) but YSK that the main frontend doesn't show it, only ours.

It doesn't? I just used it on pawb.social to check the vote data in my [email protected] community over there.

Nevermind, it does. Strangely enough it doesn't seem to work on a .world alt of mine...

Oh it's because lemmy.world is running on an old version of Lemmy that doesn't have the changes that allow mods to view votes.

I see, thank you

And it also enables you to ban serial downvoters in communities you mod, without having to wait for them to post racist stuff. Lots of people would just downvote my posts, regardless of content. Now I can ban them if they are just downvote trolling (which they were doing). I love Tesseract!
