I will preface this by saying I know quite little about vehicle repairs, just the absolute basics. I’d like to learn more eventually but I’m going into this assuming I’d need to pay someone else to do the work.
My dream car is a baby blue Volkswagen Beetle. They can be hard to find, especially in the exact body shape/colour you want. When you do find one, either they’re early 2000’s with 300k km on them or they’re brand new and over $20k.
If I manage to buy one, could I feasibly drive it for the rest of my life as long as I keep replacing parts? I guess it could be a kind of ship of Theseus situation where eventually the entire car is different than when you first bought it, but looks the same.
I’d just really like it that if I manage to get my hands on my exact dream car, I could keep it for life.
Is this possible?
