While ‘Karmageddon’ has sparked significant conversation and controversy, Iyah has stood her ground. She refused to compromise her vision when asked to change a key lyric line, leading to the end of her contract with her manager. She chose to walk away from her record label and now, fully independent, Iyah continues to carve her own path as an artist. Her fearless approach is shaped by her unique perspective as a qualified medical doctor, having worked on the frontlines during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Wow. This could make me a pophead. Beautiful, timely song.

When she says "man made virus" does she mean Fort ~~Benning~~ Detrick or Wuhan lab?

I'm going to assume it's Ft. Detrick (because I like the song).

Detrick! That's the name. Thanks!

Yeah, I think that's more probable since she's only criticizing the US/West for COVID and never mentions China. But I think, now that I've had that song on loop for 2 days and read into her, that she probably just meant the response, or lack thereof, is the man-made portion of the disaster. They just let preferred to downplay the dangers and let everyone die to keep the money flowing.

I wonder what she means by the WHO stuff.

Yeah, same on that one.

I figure it's also stuff like WHO declaring Covid over and not doing enough? But I don't know. Apparently, according to the lyrics notes on Genius, there's a documentary called "Thank you, Dr. Fauci" that she may have watched and been influenced by, but I haven't seen it myself either so I don't know and it's conjecture anyway.

She is a doctor and wrote about being on the front lines so I'm not thinking she's a Covid-denialist, maybe just rejecting the response and ways people profited off it. It can just so easily be or be interpreted as Right-wing conspiracy, Covid-denialism that I'm not entirely sure.
