So ever since an update around a month ago KDE has been running at around 1-2 fps under wayland. I don't really have a valid explaination I've checked modeset and that comes back as exepcted.

Try reinstalling the drivers and make sure the open source one is not installed. Also, what distro are you using, what card do you have, and what version of the drivers are you running?

I am using arch with the DKMS drivers

Yes, latest driver update caused the same issue for me. You should create a topic at https://forums.developer.nvidia.com/c/gpu-graphics/linux/148

Switch back to X. Nvidia isn't really Wayland compatible.

This isn't really true anymore, I can contest it worked fine until the update
