I used to be able to find exactly what I was looking for. I know boolean, use quotes, can filter by website or by filetype, etc. but over the past few years it seems like I can get less and less. I use a variety of search engines and while some are better than others, these issues seem to occur on all of them. The other day I was trying to find a forum post with hints and item lists related to the mobile game I play.

I've accessed this page before know the title and even exact phrases. One search engine gave four pages of results and none of them were this page. Google did not have the web page anywhere in the first few pages of search results. Anyway, I ended up having to go into my browser history to find what I was looking for. What's changed, is it all just SEO? Have I gotten worse at searching?
