Hi all. I was wondering about this scene from the show Breaking Bad. One of the characters is Hector Salamanca. He is from Mexico. When referring to Gus, a Chilean, he says, "Never trust a South American. Dirty, dirty people." He also used a racial slur for South American called "sud*ca."

Is this common among Mexicans? I heard that this is common in Spain. Was it just randomly written in the show?
