I guess it's time to turn off my recurring donation

i need to find a new daily driver too and it makes me sad since none of the other browser projects i've tried seem up to par so far.

They didn’t need your donations before, because they were stuffed to the gills with Google/Yahoo money, and they don’t need them now, because they’ve chosen to become an ad company[1][2].

A few weeks ago I was prompted to fill out a survey asking such questions as "why do you use mozilla programs such as firefox?" and "what do you think is the most important work done by mozilla?'

Then a few days ago I saw this blog post about how much effort they're putting into their new advocacy branding. It rings very hollow. The corporate recuperation of net-neutrality and adjacent digital activism is in full effect.

Borrman told TechCrunch that “advocacy is still a central tenet of Mozilla Foundation’s work and will be embedded in all the other functional areas,” without providing specifics.
