Hi everyone, I’d always been told “make sure you get it in writing!” and I have my manager’s confirmation in writing, but work won’t honor it. So now what?

Before I was hired I was informed I needed to travel for work. However, my visa was expired. My future boss informed me they’d reimburse the expense for the passport renewal. Now that ive started working, my reimbursement request has been denied, as they said it’s policy not to reimburse this type of expense, despite my manager telling me before my start date that they’d reimburse my passport renewal. So, what now? What recourse do I have besides complaining on Reddit?
