I see it happen here and in relationship advice subreddits-- A person will shoehorn a new app ("Is it a red flag if boyfriend tracks me with [App Title]?") or a new movie ("Girlfriend left me because [Movie Title] has misogyny?")

They're usually worded as blatant shock- or rage-bait posts so that Redditors "send it to the top!" asap and thus get the product names to the front page. Anyone else seeing this more and more lately?
