For the last 6 months, things have increasingly gotten stranger and stranger with a female coworker of mine. We've known each other for 4 years and became friends during covid cause we usually worked together.
She does sales and I now do operations, so we barely see each other. When I say strange though, she started texting me several paragraphs of things she was having issues with. She would come by after work and tell me about her husband and kids and some issues there as well as with her sister and parents. When we were alone, she's asked if we agreed on important things. She's brought up politics, gun control, and religion. Always bringing up hers and her husband's beliefs.
Now to get to my question, lately she's been calling me about work stuff while I'm off. She's tried to get me to meet her alone somewhere. She's texted me multiple times in a day if I didn't answer right away. If we leave at the same time she runs to walk with me to the parking lot and make comments about how much she's, "Struggling". She's come to my office to talk or have lunch and she's begun to tease me and call me by my full first name and saying it weird when it's just us.
We got tasked to go to another office to help fix some issues with each team. So we weren't around with our normal colleagues. When she saw me on my way out, she came dashing through the lobby and practically skidded to a halt in front of me with a big smile. It completely startled me. She started talking like that didn't just happen. Even doing the weird name teasing and we walked out together.
My colleagues and friends all said it's weird and my coworkers says she just really wants a friend to depend on. But she has a husband and is chasing after me. She knows I just had a date with a girl I really liked and it didn't go well, and then she did this.
Just, please, can someone explain why?
