It is an absolute myth than "energy" can be "directed" anywhere. That is 100% not how entropy works. We have been played for absolute fools.

It goes in all directions my dude, it just happens that your bowl is one of them and is in an energy receptive state, which invites the energy in, which some fraction of the energy acquiesces.
No 'direction' needed or possible.
