We're going on a mini vacation with our best friend couple.
It's my good friend's (F30) birthday, she's extremely thoughtful and I want to make her feel special on her day as she did for me on mine.
We also went on a mini vacay for my (F28) birthday. She brought fun birthday necklaces and a bday sash, just a little something to make me feel special as well as a decently priced gift.
She makes quite a bit more $ than I do but I got her a moderately priced gift that I'm sure she will like and for a little something extra I wanted to also do a box with tissue paper and some cute things inside that aren't exactly "gifts" but things I know she will enjoy. Im feeling a little insecure about it as it's not a big fancy gift and afraid it might come off as cheap or like "hey I made this instead of buying you something" (even though I am also giving her the other gift, which is designer shoes around $60)
Honest opinions please. I don't want to insult her or come off as trying to be cheap for her on her birthday when she was certainly not cheap for me on mine.
