In addition to what the other commenter said, it is a bit more basic, e.g. no dashboard or any other admin functionality, but much more user friendly interface for playing the content.
My family is all using this app instead of the official one, I use it if I just want to play content but still have the official one for admin stuff.

It's android native, where the JF app is "just" a web-app.

One other difference is that findroid cannot transcode.
