The best thing about this dogshit is it gives me opportunities to introduce people to good country.

Breadtube if it didn't suck.
Post videos you genuinely enjoy and want to share, duh. Celebrate the diversity of interests shared by chapochatters by posting a deep dive into Venetian kelp farming, I dunno. Also media criticism, bite-sized versions of left-wing theory, all the stuff you expected. But I am curious about that kelp farming thing now that you mentioned it.
Low effort / spam videos might be removed, especially weeb content.
There is a cytube that you can paste videos into and watch with whoever happens to be around. It's open submission unless there's something important to commandeer it with at the time.
A weekly watch party happens every Saturday (Sunday down under), with video nominations Saturday-Monday, voting Monday-Thursday. See the pin for whatever stage it's currently in.
Oh? Do share, if you want.
So for slightly older stuff that's still missed, Buffy-Sainte Marie and Townes Van Zandt spring to mind. Newer stuff would include The Everybodyfields, Colter Wall, Adeem the Artist. There's also some great artists to find through No Depression and the youtube channel Country AF. I'm more of a folk/bluegrass guy, so I admittedly just dip into country from time to time.
This song is a cognitohazard. It popped up in my feed with like a billion views a day after it was posted. Masquerades as a song about solidarity then launches into an attack on obese people and welfare queens truly cursed stuff. Couldn't even bring myself to post it in the dunk tank.
Yeah, Fantano dunks on it from the left.
Glad someone with a big platform got it right. Shit had me foaming at the mouth.
It's wild how easy it is for groups with large platforms to force something into virality like that. I legitimately have no idea what's real anymore. Obviously some people heard this and connected with it, but so, so, so many of the comments and shares are just astroturfing.
