It seems that on any community I go to (whether local or on another federated instance) the "Subscribe" and "Block" buttons appear as plain text, not as buttons/links. So that I can't subscribe to any more communities. Occasionally, "Block" will appear as a button, but "Subscribe" pretty much never does.
Example:
This only seems to have arisen in the last couple of days.
Anyone else getting this or know how to fix it?
As a workaround click "Create post" and then go back one page, then the buttons return again
What I had to do to "fix" the problem is click on "Create a post" and then simply go back It worked for me every time
I've had the same issue today. Also came across one where the block button was correct, but the subscribe was just text.

Try going to the comment section of any post in that community? For me, that made the subscribe and block buttons functional.
Huh, yes that seems to work. Thanks! That will do as a workaround until (I assume) the issue is fixed in Lemmy.
I'm seeing this too. If you're looking for another workaround and you're on a computer, try making the browser window narrower. The buttons showed up again for me when I did that.
I had this problem too, viewing a post made them show up for me
