I usually look at easily-misspelled words in terms of etymology. The word itself stems from "city-dwellers:"
- The root word in "bourgeois/borgeoisie" is "bourg," which means a city or small town.
- Then a silent E to represent the French silencing their colonial subjects.
- Then a pretentious "-ois" because, again, the French
I just kinda mash keys until it looks good on my screen. Somehow my brain can recognize bad spelling even if I can't spell shit 👍

When I remember that it is from the French I think "Hon hon hon, baguette" to myself for a bit and then with all the respect that the French and their language are due I choose to spell it "Boar guys".
