I usually look at easily-misspelled words in terms of etymology. The word itself stems from "city-dwellers:"

  1. The root word in "bourgeois/borgeoisie" is "bourg," which means a city or small town.
  2. Then a silent E to represent the French silencing their colonial subjects.
  3. Then a pretentious "-ois" because, again, the French

When I remember that it is from the French I think "Hon hon hon, baguette" to myself for a bit and then with all the respect that the French and their language are due I choose to spell it "Boar guys".
