You know, the best way to stick it to those big franchises is to beat them at their own game. Losing all your workers to McDonald's because they're paying $20 an hour? Show them who's really boss by paying your workers $25 an hour.
If you want to save money and effort, sell your equity to your employees and just cash out. Then they can look at the books and set their own wage democratically. Socialists definitely hate this one weird trick!

They should go the way of the dodo (Eg. look at Vietnam, not much McDonald's there, but good economical local food)
Boo hoo hoo, your ready-made business isn't printing money. Get a real business plan and add something of value to the economy.
Simple, just work at your McSlopShop for $20+ an hour to help pay the bills.
