As soon as he got into office he doubled child poverty and stiffed me 600 dollars.

He deserves to be publicly executed solely on the weight of joining hands with the far right on Covid.

He used state power to stifle a decade's worth of labor work for railroad workers and stopped them from striking and then poof goes an entire town.

On this the semi official first year of the 'find out' phase of global warming, all he's done is keep the seat warm for the next republican.

Biden's MAGA policies will not been seen/realized by most voters until after the 2024 elections. History will judge Biden as one of the most consequential presidents off all time, his experience and leadership came at the right time for Democracy! Unfortunately, voters will not realize this for years to come!!!!

Lol, they're doing literal Blue MAGA

Because everything costs more and people didn't get raises. I imagine people might be happier if they got big raises? I don't know, I'm not an economist but I think big raises might help people understand that they're better off now.

I got a 14% raise because of my union, still living in poverty tho because everything else just got more expensive by 20% on average.

My grocery. Bill was not good today.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 years ago

Groceries are so expensive that eating out is almost cheaper.

I thought the top comments would be a Biden cheering section. Right now they certainly aren't. I think this is typical...

I don't know what they measure prosperity by but my groceries, healthcare, and bills keep going up, housing is still unaffordable, the economy is still "down" so our corporate overlords are denying raises and threatening our jobs and "downsizing", and government is still doing nothing about low wages and our serious issues with healthcare...

Who is prospering? Rich people maybe?

Rich people maybe?

That's generally what is called 'fixing the economy' by the media.

But r/politics is predictably bad. Once we get close enough to the elections - they'll change their tune to "Look, we all know Biden isn't perfect. But do you want fascism?"

See, this whole “Bidenomics” fluff may be marginally better than the pure dysfunction of the Republicans, but ultimately it’s at the level of “bare minimum for a functioning state.” Like, if the house is on fire you’re not going to win over hearts and minds by bragging about how you patched those cracks in the foundation.

It's saddening how liberals will take just slowing of the decay of pretty much everything in their country as a good thing, and criticize countries that are actually doing something.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 2 years ago

Liberals refuse to see the decay because they’re stuck in the mentality that the brief window of post-cold war but pre-9/11 neoliberal political economy was the peak of humanity and so instead of fixing shit, let alone progressing, they’re just trying to preserve how they imagined the politics of the mid-90’s to be.

Why can't my friends pay rent then, Brandon?

I might be on the older side of things, so give me a bit of patience going forward.

WHY DOES BIDEN DESERVE CREDIT? BECAUSE HE ISN'T FUCKING OVER THE GLOBE AS INTENSELY AS FORMER PRESIDENTS THAT WE ARE NOW CURRENTLY PAYING FOR? WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT SHIT. DO YOU THINK THE WAR ON TERROR WAS PAID FOR IN ADVANCE? EVERY MOTHERFUCKING TIME WE CRITIQUE HIM WE ARE MET WITH "well you know the president doesn't have unilateral power" THEN WHY THE FUCK IS THIS THE FUCKING NARRATIVE YOU MOTHERFUCKERS.
