How are you managing foot sweat and comfort? Basically, what type of socks are you using?

Wool or coolmax socks depending on the season. I like Injinji midweight socks and liners a lot, both wool and coolmax, as well as Darn Tough, Patagonia and Smartwool. Sierra trading post often has wool socks on sale and you can't beat $9-12/pr for socks that'll last you 5+ years. If you're fine paying full price Darn Tough (or their wide fit brand Wide Open) have a lifetime replacement guarantee so the $20+ you're paying per pair is easier to swallow.

I can't stand cotton socks, they have horrible moisture management and it's hot as hell here for about half the year so I'm all about wool or wicking synthetics.

Edit: I tried Creepers toe socks too, the price is right but they don't fit me nearly as well as Injinji. Creepers are warmer than Injinji midweight wool and the wool blend is really comfortable, if they fit a little better they'd be great. People talk up xoskin xotoes too, I have a pair that I haven't worn yet.

Injinji typically when I wear socks. I don't wear socks with my vff - I just wash them super regularly. I only wash them cold so they don't warp but I soak them in a laundry sanitizer first to kill any odor-causing bacteria.

Generally, no socks with Vibram Fivefingers if warm weather (I use them just in the gym and for running), normal cotton socks for everyday and wool socks for hiking or running if cooler temperatures. I know that some people have challenges with sweat and smell and I don’t count myself in those, so my feedback could not be what you’re looking for :)
