I bounce around between Spain and Germany. I left my home country, the US, 25 years ago.

Despite being well integrated, I have a lot of expat friends from all over the world. I think it takes a certain kind of mindset to take such a leap of faith and stick it out in a foreign land long enough to consider yourself an expat.

And here we are on Lemmy, congregating at the corner table, an unspoken thread connecting us somehow.

How about you? Anything you'd like to share? Questions? Advice? Recipes from back home?
