Moved from Arch to Nix and loving it!
Linux
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Linux is a family of open source Unix-like operating systems based on the Linux kernel, an operating system kernel first released on September 17, 1991 by Linus Torvalds. Linux is typically packaged in a Linux distribution (or distro for short).
Distributions include the Linux kernel and supporting system software and libraries, many of which are provided by the GNU Project. Many Linux distributions use the word "Linux" in their name, but the Free Software Foundation uses the name GNU/Linux to emphasize the importance of GNU software, causing some controversy.

What do you most like? Thoughts on why others should give it a shot?
Manjaro. I am a guy of habits, so I never really distro-hopped, I once tried to install Arch and failed to configure everything so I tried endeavour and failed too (which would mean I am not a tech guy either ;). Ultimately, I'd say that the distribution does not matters much once you are used to it, you can always get what you want from any of them. The only thing I really like in comparison with others is pacman :)
EndeavourOS. Best distro by a longshot. I used openSUSE Tumbleweed, Fedora, ZorinOS and ofc Ubuntu in the past.
Currently using Fedora. I love the experience
I have been running Gentoo on my desktop since uni(In dual-boot with the popular game loader from Redmond - although Proton is getting pretty good in some cases now). At work I use Xubuntu, again, with Windows.
EndeavourOS.
Basically Arch Linux with a nice installer, simple and easy to set up. Hopped to it from Manjaro a few months back and been enjoying it ever since.
I always wanted to migrate to Endevour. But for some reason, I can't install it on my duel boot machine. Keeps giving me the same error. I've switched to Manjaro instead and it works just fine.
It is Ubuntu with all the non-free and contrib removed.
Feels good to actually be using a 'free as in freedom' distro that works.
(Free drivers are the only drivers included, so you need to plan ahead and purchase hardware that is going to have free drivers too. Ath9K for wifi etc)
Currently Ubuntu LTS on my server and an old Laptop. On the server I will switch to Debian now soon because I don’t like Snap, and think that does not belong on a server at all. For my Desktop I wanted to try out Arch. Most likely it will be EndeavourOS. EndeavourOS because it’s mostly vanilla ArchOS with a nice installer. I will not use Manjaro because they are much more opinionated and do not have the best reputation (there were multiple issues in the past were they let run out certificates for example).
I use a mix of Fedora and endeavour, love fedora to bits, but I had some issues that were solved by using endeavour
Currently using Mint, once I get a new laptop though, I'll likely switch back to Debain.
I had to debug my Parents-In-Laws' Old laptop. Turns out it can't really run Win10 in any functional capacity.
So I first tried to get Debian 12 installed and setup. It's a bit annoying if you don't have the non-free CD as wifi will be bugged even if you have the firmwares separately. So I had to go back and get the DVD download.
My review: Honestly their user management (no usermod command installed??) and lack of sudo access from the get go is a safety risk. Users would either set a weak root password or try adding the usual sudo package back in and break security in some manner. So, Debian is not as suitable for old laptops for normal people.
So I went ahead and installed Linux Mint 21.1 XFCE. That was quite a breeze. I would not install debian on old laptops unless it's a system I will be able to manage on the daily.
Slackware 15 on desktop, Devuan 4 on laptop, Rocky 8 on my RPI and LineageOS 18 on my phone. Slackware is really awesome.
Switched from Windows to Fedora Workstation some months ago and really happy with it workflow and feeling.
Nobara Official, I pretty much only game on my pc and have had no issues with Nobara.
I wish Arch could be installed everywhere. My Desktop PC, Laptop and Raspberry PI 4 use Arch Linux while my Server used to run Rocky Linux but is abandoned and my Chromebook Duet 3 uses Debian 12 with KDE. I think I could easily install Arch on it after having my Kernel compiled and working with debian.
The Star64 still needs development to be used.
Been using Manjaro as my daily driver for ages. Tried a few others over the years but never found them comparably nice to use. Works out of the box, performs well incl in games, rolling release yet never had much stability issues, and access to the AUR.
That is, for my laptop and desktop ofc. Servers I wouldn't run on it, at least no serious production ones. Not too important home servers maybe out of lazyness (I know this well, so easier to get stuff done).
I've been quite happy with Linux Mint on all my devices, but since I've started using i3 and apt purge
ing
Kubuntu mainly and Mint
Currently i'm on Arch. Mostly because it's the easiest option for me to get a Plasma Desktop that's up to date. KDE moves so fast nowadays, that i want to be on the edge.
Archlinux user for ~13 years, I'm now on Fedora Kinoite.
Currently... Slackware on main laptop. Slint (Slackware-based) on mini-pc. MX Linux (fvwm respin), Void, and OpenBSD on old laptop. NsCDE is desktop on all except MX.
Debian 12 for now is a great investment for the next 5 years, tho.
Fedora on everything. Gets shit done, and plays my video games. Packages are new enough that I know I'll have compatibility with things that I want to do, too.
Debian on servers and Arch Linux on clients. No bloat and simple!
I have two laptops that run Ubuntu and one that runs Mint. I've always liked Mint, and trying most other distros feels too different from what I'm used to at this point.
At the moment on laptop PopOS, while my old desktop, now mainly used by my parents, Mint. Plus the deck with arch. I'm planning to do a small upgrade to my desktop and then shift all to OpenSUSE
Linux Mint (Yes I know. but multiple services I use need Debian-based sadly. I Wish to go back to Manjaro/Arch someday.)
Arch on my workstation, Ubuntu on my servers.
I have openSuse Tumbleweed on my desktop and Ubuntu 22.04 on a laptop which I use as a server... But which has become my temporary, primary machine, as my desktop is down with a dead psu ATM...
Debian Stable... I just upgraded to Debian 12!
MATE Mint at work, Fedora KDE at home. I am a fan of both, I dont see myself switching any time soon
I use debian testing with XFCE. I get fresh enough packages and the only time I had trouble with it was when I didn't had space for /tmp
Arch with Cinnamon DE and I use flatpak and not the AUR.
Currently ZorinOS on my Main Machine and Arch on my Notebook, but when i have my new AMD GPU i will use Fedora.
Fedora Silverblue
At work we are mostly Rhel, so then at home I have some Rocky VMs and main system is Fedora. I used to run Arch, but then got lazy…
