Young person here, I got them handed down from my dad and read through the first 6. Avid d&d player too. A lot of the older fantasy seems to be making a comeback. Between that, classic rock becoming more popular (but never completely going away), and some Christians throwing another "Satanic Panic" over it all, it seems history's repeating itself in a lot of ways.

I've been thinking of giving them a re-read. The Legend of Huma is one of my favorites.

I loved them too. I remember reading these thick paperback novels in grade school when everyone else was reading thin books.

Yes, I read the first three as they came out, and the follow-up trilogy about the Twins. I lost track of things shortly after that due to Life Being Busy and losing mot of my time to read non-work stuff, plus getting active on social media. I still have a few of the old short story books in storage, one day I want to read them (Rastlin has a daughter?!)
