I was able to sign in to two tkher instances no problem.

This is now fixed in:

https://github.com/liftoff-app/liftoff/releases/tag/v0.9.11

Lemmy Server 0.18.x had a breaking change. This update also allows 0.17.x and 0.18.x to coexist!

It finds midwest.social for me in the latest version (now I guess called LiftOff?) But just spins when I try to sign in

I'm trying the app right now and it's saying instance not found for midwest.social. Were you able to add sh.itjust.works at all or just not sign into your account?

It pops up but hangs on log in.
