I really thought I would feel a greater sense of achievement from achieving a one year streak on Duolingo (hexbear.net)

Instead, I feel nothing, except pressure to keep it up. This it not all in vein though, as I now know how to read and write Arabic, Hindi, and Japanese. I wish I could find the motivation to keep up my Anki streak for one year.

Guess what? There isn't a two year animation. You have to wait for 1000 days.

The achievement comes from getting the habit down, which happens like 2 months in. After that point, day 365 is just "normal" now.
