I don't know. All I know is that Reddit is no longer for me. Between this and Sqaubbles I am mostly covered except for Man Utd and pokemon Trading Card game news.

I don't think lemmy is ready for primetime. There are many defaults on this that make it seem like a clunky early adopter build of an application.
I'm not planning on leaving... but i'm still struggling to get the same use case here as reddit provides.
Yes.
Yes
Only time I'm going on Reddit is to steal my old stuff to post here. I like this federated concept better
Yes!
I mean no one expects a reddit duplicate overnight. Give it some time.
This seems to be the right platform, so most likely, yes.
Yes
Staying? I just spent the last WEEK spending all day every day on deep diving the fediverse.
Yes. I am staying 😁
Yep and once I know that the mobile app is stable enough too, then I'll just completely migrate to lemmy.
Its hilarious that half the time people mean to write "Lemmy", their auto correct makes it into "Lenny". Cannot stop imaging the Lenny-dude everyone are coming to see..
Please add community groups (multireddits), so I can manage big collections of community. For now, the main timeline is a mess.
Yeah
Yeah but my activity level will go way up when a good client comes along. I am super excited for Sync for Lemmy, it's a super clean experience on Reddit and the dev is awesome.
Yes
Yes, especially after the 30th. Right now im still browsing it every so often mostly because my sync app still works and I just really like the app... But after the 30th i'm mostly done with reddit.
Why not? Worst case scenario -- Lord spez snaps it out, tapes himself crying on the floor begging for mercy, plebbit accepts it and Lemmy becomes a plausible alternative.
Yeah, I think I'll stick around ;-)
I probably will - I moved here with the rest of Reddit Exodus and I’m not planning on going back. My activity here is absurdly low (although I could argue that it’s good for me), Apollo was great for keeping me hooked.
If the subreddits that I am usually lurking on have migrated here then I'll have no problem with staying on Lemmy. And if there's a mobile app (preferably on Android) for browsing Lemmy (and the fediverse in general) then even more reason for me to stay here.
But for a definitive answer? Yes
Yes, but only on the condition that HeGetSus doesn't make an appearance.
Looks like it. Reminds me of old message/discussion boards so far, with actual real people.
Hell yah!
I plan to stay. But let's see what happens in a couple of months after the shock of all these changes has worn off and see how those who are offended by reddit actually react. Reddit will remain the site with way way more content and active users for a long while
Lemmy still needs plenty of development and active contributors/engagers to have any long term chance.
I think you need to look at trajectory with these alternatives. For example, squabble is great in its design, but its growth is linear, so it's unlikely to take off. Lemmy can - if it can maintain a 1% per day growth rate for a year it'll be a solid 30-40 million user platform - but it really needs as much momentum as it can get early on, because it could still crash.
I plan to stay
Yes, I'm using Jerboa app right now for it but once Sync for Lemmy gets made it's going to be a much better interface IMO.
Yes, I just scrubbed all my posts on reddit and deleted my account.
yes
Yes, whatever happens in the other place I'll be staying here.
Of course I will, being called "Landed Gentry" from someone acting like a dictator is just laughable. I normally run all open source things personally anyways, I just barely used reddit in the past so I never looked for an alternative until now.
