They're choosing between a man who literally tried to overthrow democracy, a man too focused on drag queens and bathrooms, or a democrat. Politics is a team sport for these people. It's not about electing the best candidate, it's about beating the Democrats.
And they're willing to embrace all manner of cruelty, irrationality and hypocrisy in order to win. That lady at the town hall said it best, for modern Republicans politics is about, "hurting the right people."
An indictment is not the same thing as a conviction. Let's see how they feel after a few of those.
