I think the pebble was one of the first big smart watches, and here is a picture of mine paying tribute to my other hobby, retro computing.

I purchased one when it came up. I think there were βsmartβ watches before it, and it came as an alternative for long battery duration, which was amazing, and also focused in only important stuff to notify. I think it failed because the lack of all the bloat.
