Man charged with murder of woman near UBC campus (www.cbc.ca)

IHIT took over the investigation and said Thursday that 35-year-old Yang "Christopher" Liang has been charged with second-degree murder.

"As the parties were known to one another, investigators believe this may have been a tragic incident of intimate partner violence," Cpl. Esther Tupper of IHIT said in a statement.

Investigators said last week that two people were arrested at the scene. IHIT confirmed Thursday that only one person was charged.

I just can't imagine being that awful of a person. Who the hell reacts to a murder story with 'yeah but people die all the time?'

Pretty sure it’s the same person who thinks expanding WiFi access in Downtown East Side is not news worthy, went on a huge rant about LGBTQ during that Chinatown Lunar New Year parade debacle, and largely supportive of anti-vaxxer/freedom convoy… that kind of person.
