I'm close with the people in my circles whom I let into my home, and they all know I have strong boundaries. So, when I am tired and need sleep, I just let them know straight up, and they don't take offense to it.
However, I don't feel the need to rush anyone out the door if they are still having a good time, so I let them know they are welcome to stay, leave whenever they are ready, stay the night, crash on the couch or join me in my bed if they prefer.
