Another mod sent me a link to Matrix. I gogoled the matrix.to stuff and people said it's malware, so im cautious? Is this how everyone mods? Or is there an easier built in option on Jerboa?

It's not malware. It's just what they are using for communication and is a relatively new platform, like lemmy.

You can safely use it.
