Agreed, another reason to slowly move away from Google operating systems. I've been slowly removing my reliance on them and this may just be the push I need for the next step.
Where you going to go though? I used degoogled android for 2 years, and during the time I had to keep explaining to people why I couldn't use apps. Not a great time for sure.
