I have a gshock. Lol. It's my favorite watch, though the illumination doesn't work since I took it apart and put it back together.

I've worn mine in tons of pools. They're all fine. Maybe that was a thing in the 80s/90s? One of the reasons I love my G-Shocks are because I can just forget I'm wearing them and they'll basically never stop. Showers, pools, lakes, hot tubs, mud, sawdust, sand - don't matter much to a G tbh.

Main thing to avoid is aerosols and deet. Will cause pitting in the resin + other material breakdowns.
