I'm all for covers, it's interesting to hear someone else's take on a particular song, but remixes where all they change is just the pitch and/or tempo are just lazy and unappealing.

A good remix changes the song enough to sound like a different song but with inspirations from the original. A bad remix just changes the tempo and layers garbage on top. Not all remixes are bad but many of them are low effort.

Or they add a bunch of trap/dubstep nonsense and lazy stuttered and repeated vocals. It's been done to death.

I personally don't like either. It feels like I'm the uncanny valley of music and it makes me want to hear the song I heard first.

What about when both are massively different?

Feint - Starscapes and Feint - Starscapes (Rameses B remix) don't sound similar to me at all, for instance. The original is too generic and uninspired.
