As someone up the other end of the country, I always forget we have seals in Australia. I’m used to the only large native animals being kangaroos and emus.

I'll admit they don't regularly come to mind for me either, since I live a few hours from the coast. I've seen seals before but this was the closest I've come to them - they are indeed pretty large when you're looking at them from a few metres away.
