Of course we knew this anecdotally, but it's nice to have confirmation from research. Lack of sleep makes you cranky.

As father of baby, can confirm.

I was about to say the same thing. Father of 3. The eldest is 4 years and the youngest is 9 months. I find myself biting my tongue and closing my eyes, counting and doing breathing exercises many times.
