tldr: Biden mistakenly said that he was born in Israel. People started making fun of that, saying that he is either a liar or couldn't become the US president. Thus, this brilliant fact-check was born!

While it may have been misheard, the context of Biden's speech and the established facts of Biden's birthplace should have made it obvious that he did not say he was born in Israel.

It is a matter of public record that Biden was born in Scranton, Pennsylvania in 1942. The State of Israel was not proclaimed until May 1948.

Thanks, Newsweek! I guess this is better than their usual "fact checks", where they just lie about left-wing policies.
