Leslie Knope was supposed to be the parody of this trope, before they forgot what they were writing and just started playing it straight.
Yeah that show decided "all our characters are to be loveable and kind of real" after like 1 season.
That's every Americam sitcom ever. Even when they try to not do that, they can't help themselves
