However, in post-debate comments, Luxon said his shop was for breakfast supplies and some lunch ingredients, and that he grabbed most of his other meals on the go.

All the information you need, really. He's not claiming this is his weekly shop or anything.

That's exactly what he's claiming. It's his weekly shop, he just doesn't really eat supermarket food.
