After 2014, yes. But prior to that the public opinion was split. Also I didn't mean it to be annexed by Russia, but independent. Allowing population to vote to be part of another country always has the risk, that the other state tries to influence the election. For example what Russia did in 2008โ€“2014, which of course will influence the decision or the people.

Therefore only separation should be allowed, not annexation.
