I will lay there on the ground with my belly exposed and my mouth open until the CCP loses mental interest in me. Sometimes multiple times per day. Why do they keep doing this to me?

Like with bears, it's very important to know if you're dealing with a CPC or a CCP. A CCP will probably back off if you play dead or make yourself very large and loud. If you're dealing with a CPC, just run and pray you're faster.
