Like, I LOVE Daft Punk, but...why? Is anyone looking for this? I appreciate some of the BTS stuff they have out out recently for RAM, but I just don't understand this at all. This, for me, just kind of tarnishes their legacy to me with all the commercialization.

Maybe there are fans out there who think differently. I hope they enjoy RAM without percussion

So the original intent of the album can be realized - so it can more easily be sampled into French house tracks made by the next generation.

I appreciate this explanation! Thank you. The world isn't about just me! Who would have thought?!?

Well, of course. Because it's about just me.

...right?

It'll make it easier for djs to remix.

Some songs like Within I can at least somewhat understand, the percussive backing is pretty mild. But imagine listening to Giorgio without that drum solo.

The rumor I've heard is they had a three-record contract with Columbia and the original RAM was only one album under Columbia. Nearly everything else before that was released under Warner or Virgin. They did a 10th anniversary of RAM about 6 months ago which counts as a second. Drumless counts as a third, then.
