Chat is a text only community for casual conversation, please keep shitposting to the absolute minimum. This is intended to be a separate space from c/chapotraphouse or the daily megathread. Chat does this by being a long-form community where topics will remain from day to day unlike the megathread, and it is distinct from c/chapotraphouse in that we ask you to engage in this community in a genuine way. Please keep shitposting, bits, and irony to a minimum.

As with all communities posts need to abide by the code of conduct, additionally moderators will remove any posts or comments deemed to be inappropriate.

Thank you and happy chatting!

I'm not doing what I have to do.

I'm currently reading 3 books, but I want to read more. 3 should be enough. Before, I was reading much more than that.

Now that I just finished a book, I want to replace it with something else.

How do I stop myself from reading too much?

UGH

(This isn't a bit, this is genuinely a problem for me...)

pick chores you want to do instead. It's not gratifying at all and really sucks but making the decision of whether I want to read a book or do chores before I reach the time of decision has helped me get chores done. It doesnt work great though, it passes the bar of "better than nothing" but thats about it.

Download some audio books (on the high seas) and listen to books while doing chores.
